happy thanksgiving!! i had my non-traditional thanksgiving dinner (no turkey for me) last night. today, i'm hanging around working on various projects and watching a Gavin and Stacey marathon on BBC America. i'd like to send a heartfelt thanks out to Angela of True Love Fiber, who gifted me with an absolutely gorgeous skein of her hand-dyed, merino sock yarn. i'm crazy about this color, One Stick. i'm down to my last pair of handknit socks, shown here in the photo. it taks me forever and a day to finish a pair of socks. i'm pretty certain that i've had the current pair on my needles for 2 years or more. lame, i know. i probably have enough sock yarn in my stash for 7 or 8 pairs. oy. i need to get knitting. i try to knit sock yarn in the order that it is received/purchased, but this is one is so gorgeous i think i'll let it jump the queue. now if i can only manage to finish the pair i'm working on now...

That is so funny, because socks are the one thing I can finish fairly quickly...it's probably because they're a little mundane, and you have so many 'fun' projects that you're always working on.

Gorgeous! I love making socks, so if you ever need someone to 'test' the yarn in your stash...ha ha!
